On January 20th 2007 Starchaser Industries tested their HTP (High Test Peroxide) thruster, the aim was to test principles that would be used in the full scale LES system. With inevitable changes and further testing Starchaser decided to replace the kerosene injection and use a rubber (HTPB) hybrid fuel grain.

A video of the testing can be found at the Starchaser web-site video section HERE.
During a message board conversation at the Starchaser web-site there were discussions and congratulations from both members of Team Starchaser and members of staff. During the past days it became apparent that Starchaser had not stopped testing after the released video. Comments by Starchaser staff in fact suggest that testing has remained at the forefront of Starchaser’s plans this year. Comments by a Starchaser Employee noted that:

“Over that past few weeks the propulsion team have conducted a number of firings to capture reproducible and consistent data. The production of high quality fuel grains has also been another area of great success. All this data will be used to design, build and test a larger scale version.”

Already 2007 had been a busy year for Starchaser with news being frequently filtered though their site (www.starchaserinc.com).The most notable being the contractor for the Starchaser Rocket City already being chosen.
