Ok now I'm missing the point? But those are interesting satellites thanks for posting.

I guess as mission targets, but I fail to see their significance other than sharing names with really bad hollywood movies. They are shepard moons if I recall, and would be very hazardous to get to both because of their proximity to Saturn and its ring system.

Too bad they are not in a polar orbit. That would make them much more interesting. Yeah interesting but not significant in any way I can imagine.

Ok...I tought you could land on them since they rotate 30 km/s in relation to the sun.

Rotate or orbit? Very different characteristics.
Topspeed, go download and "play" Orbiter, a good realistic space flight simulator. It will give you a better idea of orbital dynamics and space travel. |

Indeed "Orbiter" is a great tool to learn with.

Sorry JamesG ..I possibly confuse with my terminology...I mean if you have a planet orbiting sun with moon..moon also orbits around its planet...in certain moment it is lined with your space ship movement that it makes the pod easy to land with..as you can leave the main ship orbiting this smaller moon. Rotation may be useful too...or harmful.
Sure this is nothing new. _________________ http://mesoslaunch.blogspot.fi/ http://max3fan.blogspot.com/ |
