Hi, folks,
Dan Fredrikson's recent posts have given me an idea. Let's all boast about how smart we are!

Here are some questions:

What is your IQ (if you have been tested)?
At what age did you go to college/start taking college courses?
What is your level of education, and in what area(s)?
What outstanding achievements did you accomplish as a child?
Anything else you would like to boast about.

I'll start it off:

I was tested as 140 out of 200 (but I probably should have scored higher, I was on 20 pills at the time I was tested, so my brain was kind of muddled. It still is, I think).
I started taking courses at a community college at age 16.
I only have a bachelor's degree, in business administration. Sue me.
I designed a robotic car in high school that followed a light shined from above. Actually, I just wired two solar cells to motors on either side of a catalog bought robot car, but I won the science fair anyway. Third place was a kid who did a project on a base 7 number system. He cried when I won first place instead of him. Too bad, sucker.
I read the le morte d'arthur, the first real English novel, in fifth grade. I was writing poetry by then.
I think I'm a polymath - I can both add and subtract. Does that count?

Ok, who's next. Dan?

I am awesome because I generally to the very least required but still get results with time left to watch The Big Theory every evening! So I am resourceful!

Awesome! Remember, the sign of a good scientist is that they are lazy.

LOL If you have a very hard job to do, give it to a truly lazy man. He will find the easiest way to do it.

lol
Monroe

In truth intelligence alone is not enough without the will to get the job done your still sitting on the stone thinking about it.
It's the men that do the thing that succeed. Not the ones that think about it. There has to be a balance of mind and will.

After all we just struck rocks together the other day in the big schema of things! Relatively speaking we are still infants. Besides the difference in cognitive thinking of a man with a 75 IQ and the man with the 180 IQ is really how much? in comparison to zero cognitive thinking?
We are all capable of a little genius now and then ;)

Quoted for truth. if there's one thing I've learned in Mensa, it's that quantifying intelligence is intrinsically subjective. If there's another it's that Intelligence is no barrier to stupidity. Take for example the "Top 2%ile of intelligence" deciding the criteria for rating intelligence. That'd be kind of letting Congress determine the funding for Congress. (Did anybody notice that nowhere in these austerity measures neither side even wanted to contemplate coming to pass there wasn't a single pay cut even discussed?)

I tested out a 158, but I'm intelligent to know how useless that number is. Mensa testing proceedure. As for impressive things I did as a child, I convinced a registered child psychologist I was mentally retarded to prove that i knew his tests better than he did (Free association stuff, like Rorshach.)

@psiberzerker - If you had everything you would not need to put it anywhere. ;)

I was in Mensa for a while, but when I moved to Israel, the club here wasn't so organized. So I quit.

I can twiddle my fingers in opposite directions. At the same time.

I can juggle! Well, I can half-juggle. I can throw the balls, but I can't catch them.

I learnt to juggle on a cruise ship where in addition to normal gravity we had waves moving us up and down. I have since taught juggling at several DiscWorld events.

I once used 3 sheath knives during a juggling performance.
