Good news there. I am a great welder and I have a metal lathe or two we need a tig welder and a good torch. But we will do what we can until we can get thoes a plasma cutter would be nice. Yes timing is good for our project and if we can get comunity intrest we could do well. I'm going to persue more local funding now that we have some guy's working. The tractor will come in handy. Looks like that’s it for delays and tomorrow we test the Richard Nakka/Monroe King KNSU QPIII motors and the Dave Hein load cell data ack. system at the new test facility at Stewart Lilley's farm in Lampasas! With Kevin Gore and Basil Attal.

Well we calibrated the load cell and then fired a road runner to get a base line. We got a great profile and data on the commercial motor. Setup for a smaller KNSU and CATO first one I've had. The gas expanded our cardboard grain vessel and ran down the side. Pushed the cardboard against the alum. motor housing and blew out both ends. Damaged the load cell (not badly we hope) and put an end to the day.
So we collect data redesign and re-test. The load cell works great. Monroe Team Prometheus _________________ Today's the day! We go into Space! |

News!
Team Prometheus is set to test the first Real Prototype N-Prize Satellite! http://teamprometheus.org/movies/2009_1 ... chive.html We were successful in making our first zero pressure balloon and our Hydrogen Generator has also been successfully tested! Thanks to Stew Lilley and Roger Harkess we now have the components we need to test the first N-Prize Satellite! We are awaiting the delivery of the Satellite and will set the date as soon as we get it here in Texas. Test to be conducted from the Rocket Ranch test site in Lampasas, Texas. what dimensions do you have on that thing? also, what antenna, frequency and gain are you using (if you don't mind sharing)? do you want me to send you our PCB test thingy for the same test (i assume you're using a balloon) or are there concerns about interference?

Yes, send it. Our Freq. is Ham and I believe yours is 900mhz was that right? It's a dipole antenna. We are about to do a press release. What is the weight of your prototype? May do a separate but simultaneous launch if you hurry. Or we can do it a few days after if your not ready. Monroe _________________ Today's the day! We go into Space! |

I think that is $5000 if he is successful at launching and documents the results. JC has opened the offer to others who achieve the same feat.
It's all very unlikely though. |

Yep, I misread his email. But we have decided to go for it.
