I was lucky enough to be at FAR (Friends of Amateur Rocketry) and see the very first unteathered flight success for Paul Breed and Unreasonable Rocket and the purple ball flew very well with a perfectly stable flight and touchdown! Congrats to UR and there team.
On the same day I witnessed Flowmetrics test of a beautiful Lox/green fuel rocket that was awesome. The rocket launch went well but the engine out performed the airframe and lost its fins at Mach. I would consider the test very successful because it was after all an engine test and the engine performed flawlessly! Monroe Team Prometheus Thanks to Jerry Irvine we now have a great HD camera for Near Space Expedition II and it also allowed me to get some great video of these test and as soon as I can get used to the new format we will post some on our blog. _________________ Today's the day! Little late but hope all went well for Paul,
His last update said: I just finished packing for a trip to FAR on Saturday, we will be attempting a 90 second tethered hover with the blue ball. This includes the live video so all the rules requirements for the vehicle are complete. _________________ > http://www.fullmoonclothing.com > http://www.facebook.com/robsastrophotography > robgoldsmith@hotmail.co.uk |

Dang Ben wish I had known you were there! That was an awesome flight for Paul! Felt lucky to be there. I liked the Flowmetrics Rocket Too! I've been very busy sence then. Just now getting a breath! About to face the FAA about some high altitude launches.
