In discussing this with Blair it became clear there is no downside to trying for this. Especially as it will involve technology of the type already planned for Microlaunchers.
This is going to be fun. We should be able to find the kind of assistance we need, and the forced tiny budget will set a good basis for progression on toward a full NEO photographing system. Kudos to Dr Dear for thinking this up. There's the right mixture of whimsy and borderline impossibly to make this a very promising activity. What the X Prize did for "space tourism" N Prize can...(to be continued) |
