China Developing Moon Rocket

China has said it is developing a heavy-lift rocket capable of taking its astronauts to the Moon:

This will apparently be a Saturn-V class rocket, with its first-stage able to output 3000tons of thrust at liftoff.

It's noteworthy that the mission payload has not yet been defined, so that the rocket would define the mission, rather than vice-versa.
