My condolences! I am sorry for your loss. er... that sounded like a funeral. sorry.
Anyway, I was wondering if you could give any more details about the end of mission. Do you have any hope for recovering the A34? things like Lost&Found posters or notices to surrounding ranches? And when you say that the MicroTandem landed in "inaccessible" area... is that like the middle of a lake or something? If you sent some stuff my way, I'd be glad to help y'all sew! |

Losing a vehicle is tough. Two in one day can really get to you.
We're getting close on tracking down the guy who picked up A34. We think we have the town he lives in, but that's all. There is a lot of gear on board. What I really want back is the PongSats and the cards from the cameras. The area we fly from is pretty remote. However launch day was at the beginning of hunting season and the vast remote wilderness was postively crowded. We're sitting tight on MicroTandem. We don't want to say where it is while there is still a chance of recovery. Unfortunately, it just part of being in the space biz. JP |

Hello, jpowell,
does "inaccessible" mean that even no balloon could be used? If it doesn't mean that why not use a balloon since your projects are based on them? Dipl.-Volkswirt (bdvb) Augustin (Political Economist) |
